Primary scheduled hours: 72 hours per pay period, days, 12 hours shifts Job Summary: Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including CT/X-Ray procedures as applicable, and is responsible for patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Essential Job Functions: - Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing radiation therapy and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients. - Provides care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient, including pediatric, geriatric, and general population. - Responsible for safe handling of equipment; performs a pre-procedure check on all equipment; provides preventive maintenance. - Instructs and prepares patients for radiation therapy procedures. - Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly. - Reviews prescribed dosage of ionizing radiation for accuracy before all treatments. - Practices medical and surgical asepsis at all times.
