JOB SUMMARY: Under general direction of the System Director of Legal, Associate will perform a wide range of Safety and Security duties providing a safe and secure environment. Provide minimal maintenance assistance. Exhibits the values of F.I.R.S.T. (Friendliness, Innovation, Respect, Service, and Trust) of Ephraim McDowell Health (EMH). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Security Officers must be able to respond to security concerns at all EMH premises requiring the operation of an EMH vehicle. - Investigate incidents as they occur. Complete required forms and log. - Provide escort services for Associates to Medical Center parking lots and parking garage. - Promotes the EMH philosophy (AIDET) to ensure quality care. - Covers the functions of minor maintenance during the hours when Maintenance Associates are not scheduled. - Considers the age of the patient served, applies knowledge of growth and development and age specific techniques through the life span (pediatrics, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients) in planning and implementing security processes. - Keeps continuing education and training current on security methods and technology use. - Able to loca...
