The campus minister is essential to the daily operation and pastoral care of the St. John Newman Center. The campus minister collaborates and assists the rector-chaplain in his responsibility for the pastoral and spiritual care of the students, administration of the goods of the chapel and center, and maintaining the furnishings and buildings. This is accomplished by caring for the facilities, coordinating bible studies and/or catechetical sessions as well as coordinating social gatherings, managing and supervising the student interns. The campus minister leads a life worthy of imitation as a practicing Catholic. MINISTERIAL CHARACTER: The Bishop is the visible principle and foundation of unity in the particular Church (The Diocese) entrusted to him. In a unique and visible way, he makes Christ's mission present and enduring as Shepherd of the Christian Community.
