Position Status: Part time Shift: Variable Less than 12 hour shift (United States of America) Hours per week: 8 Job Information Exemption Status: Non-Exempt A Brief Overview: Stormont Vail Health's Student Internship Program offers students in accredited Medical Laboratory Science (MLS/CLS) programs the opportunity to gain clinical laboratory experience. Interns develop technical proficiency, participate in bench rotations, and work alongside certified laboratory scientists. The Medical Laboratory Scientist Intern participates in pre analytical, analytical, and post analytical processes across hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, microbiology, immunology, and immunohematology. The role emphasizes test theory, method performance, quality assurance, and problem resolution. Education Qualifications: - Currently enrolled in a NAACLS accredited MLS/CLS bachelor’s program or related science program with eligibility for clinical rotations. Required - Completion of at least junior-level coursework (typically 90 credit hours or equivalent).
