Position Summary: Responsible for the set-up and operation on a variety of machinery to produce a large assortment of parts or finishes often of a complex nature. Must apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics and machining procedures. Essential/Key Functions: Management reserves the right to add or modify the responsibilities at any time · Verify correct product using job traveler. · Set-up and operate a variety of machinery (CNC, Grinder, Threadmill, Lathe, Mill, Saw, Core Drill, Hob) to blueprint specifications. · Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production. · Monitor and ensure all fluid levels are maintained on all equipment. · Monitor inventory levels and report low levels and discrepancies to supervisor. · Must use precision measuring tools specific to job. · Must use job specific hand tools. · Read part drawing with sectional views. · Lift, position and transport work piece with a hoist. · Must accurately record labor hours into E1 system. · Work independently; assist and train less experienced machinists. · Maintain plant standards in areas of safety, quality, delivery, cost, 5S, housekeeping, teamwork and attend...
