Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: Position Purpose: Works as part of a team to complete accurate insurance billing and bookkeeping functions vital to the management of the MercyOne North Iowa Outpatient Pharmacies. What you will do: Greets and assists patients/customers in person and on the phone in a professional and confidential manner Communicates effectively with colleagues and customers alike, being a good listener and adjusting style as needed Represents Mercy Family Pharmacies in a courteous, friendly, and caring manner Performs duties with flexibility, adapting to changing schedules and needs of the customers, prioritizing workload accordingly Contacts 3rd party payers or physician offices as appropriate to resolve third party prescription payment issues (including prior authorization, step therapy, processing questions etc.) Operates pharmacy dispensing and POS technology as needed to complete required job functions. Completes daily, weekly, monthly and yearly financial/banking/accounts receivable duties.
