Description POSITION: Building Sub: PURPOSE OF JOB : To provide highly effective instruction and supervision to students in all areas by working collaboratively with all school personnel, students, parents and community members and being cognizant of all state and district requirements for serving the needs of students. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned): - Embrace and advance the mission of University Academy, which is to prepare students to succeed in college and become leaders in society. - Embody core values of results, integrity, self-improvement, and excellence. - Meet and instruct assigned classes at the times designated. - Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students. - Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students. - Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of immediate superior. - Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior. - Guide the learning process toward the achievement of clear learning goals for all lessons, units, an...
