Staff Scientist - Industrial Hygiene

H2M architects + engineers, a multidiscipline architectural, engineering, environmental consulting firm in Melville, NY seeks a full-time staff scientist, In this role, you will be responsible for sampling, testing and inspections for asbestos surveys, water and mold damage assessments, reviewing and understanding site plans, completing asbestos and mold inspections for insurance companies, private industries, and school districts. Assistance with other environmental hazard surveys such as lead and indoor air quality assessments. Job Responsibilities: - Perform asbestos and/or mold surveys on residential and commercial buildings. - Providing asbestos project monitoring and air sampling, including compliance with on-site field protocols such as chain of custody forms and daily logs. - Analysis tabulation, analysis review/ evaluation and report writing. - Assistance with lead and other indoor air quality testing. - Follow clear instructions and communicate project updates and/or relevant information with project team and with clients professionally. - Able to work as part of a team and collaborate often. - Prior experience dealing with contractors and ensuring compliance with state a...
