ACE HARDWARE LUMBER YARD ASSOCIATE JOB DESCRIPTION: Position Summary : A Greer’s Ace Hardware Lumber Yard Associate supports daily yard operations by providing outstanding customer service, safely handling building materials, and maintaining an organized, efficient yard. This role is hands-on, fast-paced, and essential to delivering the high level of service Greer’s customers expect. Key Responsibilities: 1. Deliver “Helpful” Customer Service 2. Yard Operations & Material Handling 3. Maintain a Clean, Organized Yard 4. Prioritize Safety - Greet every customer promptly and provide needed assistance - Help customers select lumber, plywood, and building materials - Safely and efficiently load materials into customer vehicles - Anticipate customer needs and go the extra step to assist - Represent Greer’s values: friendly, knowledgeable, and dependable - Assist customers in taking and pulling accurate lumber orders - Properly ring up lumber orders - Receive, unload, and organize incoming deliveries of lumber and material - Pull and stage customer orders accurately and efficiently - Operate forklift and equipment safely (training/certification provided) - Inspect materials for quality an...
