(MEPPI) is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to perform civil engineering functions during the proposal, design, and construction stages of substation projects. This position will report to the Substation Division Engineering & Drafting Section Manager and is a hybrid position in Warrendale, PA. What You’ll Do: - Perform all aspects of substation civil design including permitting support, site layout, grading design, storm water analysis, survey coordination, and civil construction inspection. - Create and review preliminary foundation designs and perform risk evaluations of alternative foundation solutions using available information. Identify and report on the expected risks and costs associated with proposed and alternative solutions. - Provide preliminary designs and cost estimates for project bids. - Develop civil construction specifications, engineering proposals, and project schedules. - Apply engineering application software to design foundations, structures, site grading, drainage, and site surveys in line with customer specifications, industry and government standards. - Oversee, review, and interpret testing of...
