Job description

Job Objective: Provide a safe environment for children participating in the Summer Day Camp Programs. Essential Functions: - Assist in the supervision of program participants in small groups as they participate in program activities as developed and implemented by the ministry program team - Participate with campers in a positive, encouraging, age-appropriate manner - As needed, assist in the implementation and clean up after scheduled activities - Initiate activities as needed - Protect the physical, emotional and spiritual well being of all program participants - Encourage and promote positive relationships amongst all day camp staff - Create and lead an environment that helps children and youth maintain control so that they can manage their own behavior in a socially appropriate manner. Provide appropriate discipline for children and youth as needed - As needed, serve as a point of contact for parents/care givers of youth enrolled in day camp - Follow, enforce and promote all rules, policies and procedures Minimum Qualifications: Education: Minimum 9th grade education completion, at least 16 years of age.
