Job description

This weekend-crew position will be located in our Whitehall Casting, Plant 10 Operations. Summary: The manufacturing engineering technician role provides technical support to ensure continuous flow of parts, materials and information by addressing issues that arise to drive velocity through the plant. - Acts as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing, other functions to expedite product flow - Continually address issues with problem-solving techniques that impact velocity and solve issues identified to root cause - Proactively identify and address potential problems or constraints in the production process for improvements or cost reduction - Interact with engineering to drive tooling, NPI and process improvements - Supports engineering and manufacturing with data collection, compiling information and analysis to support process control - Coordinate information flow, e.g., reviews shift reports and connects with supervisors to determine areas for focus, communicates material requests, etc. – provides updates on issues and resolution to appropriate functions within the plant - Keeps workstations stocked with material replenishment - Support operations as a contact in out-of-cyc...
