POSITION SUMMARY: Advocates for Marathon Petroleum in Louisiana, Southern US and Southeast through coordinated stakeholder outreach and the development of strong relationships with state and local government officials. This position, based in Garyville, LA, serves as the primary interface with various state, county, and local government entities and regulatory agencies, and acts as a liaison to key trade associations, business groups, and community stakeholders. The preferred location for this position is Garyville, LA. Other MPC locations may be considered. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serves as the primary liaison with state and local governments across Louisiana, Southern US and Southeast, representing all Marathon Petroleum operations, including refining, logistics, and the company’s significant and rapidly growing natural gas midstream gathering assets in the Permian Basin. - Manages state public policy issues, legislation and regulations.
