POSITION SUMMARY: The Benefit Specialist for AtlanticCare will be responsible for: Program Administration: Manage day-to-day operations for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans. Enrollment & Orientation: Conduct new-hire orientations to explain benefit packages and guide employees through the enrollment process. Maintaining the Oracle Fusion Health and Welfare system including QDRO’s, Qualified life events, dependent verification and other similar tasks. Open Enrollment: Participating in annual open enrollment periods, preparing communication materials and assisting staff with plan changes. Compliance: Ensure all programs follow federal and state laws such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Cross functional collaboration: The Benefits Specialist also demonstrates departmental teamwork and flexibility by performing other duties as assigned. This position will coordinate and communicate regularly with the Shared Services Team, Talent Acquisition Teams and departmental leadership.
