Job description
Overview The Systems Administrator is responsible for day-to-day management, maintenance, and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, virtualization, and other critical systems. This role involves configuring, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of systems and services. The Systems Administrator will collaborate with other staff and departments to deliver optimal support and contribute to ongoing IT projects. Work Location: Washington, DC: Work Arrangement: Onsite: Clearance: Must have an active Secret clearance Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: - Administer, configure, and support Windows Server infrastructure and core services (Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policy, file/print) to meet availability, performance, and service-level objectives. - Monitor system health, logs, and capacity; respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence and minimize downtime. - Operate and improve backup/restore and disaster recovery capabilities, including backup job monitoring, restore execution, routine recovery testing, and maintaining c...
