Job Summary Aptive Resources is seeking skilled Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) - Emergency Medicine to support the Atlanta VA Medical System. The CNAs will perform a variety of patient care and diagnostic support duties under the minimal supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). They will provide effective interventions tailored to individual patient needs in accordance with established facility policies and safety standards. Primary Responsibilities: Direct Patient Care: - Assist patients with personal care, including feeding, walking, lifting, and turning. - Provide hygiene care using specialized equipment for patients receiving oxygen or suction therapy. - Supervise and support patients in self-care activities such as eating, dressing, and using prosthetic devices. - Assist with pre and post-operative care instructions based on nurse or doctor guidance. Diagnostic Support: - Take, record, and report vital signs and changes in patients' conditions to the nurse. - Assist in diagnostic examinations such as lumbar punctures, liver biopsy, bone marrow examinations, and emergency procedures. - Collect, label, and transport specimens to the laboratory.
