Description The Greenwood School of Music invites applications for two full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Music Theory positions. The successful candidates should demonstrate excellence and creativity in teaching courses in the undergraduate and graduate theory curricula which include the freshman/sophomore core curriculum, upper division courses such as structural analysis, post-tonal analysis, counterpoint, orchestration/arranging, popular music theory as well as graduate level analytical techniques, and/or other related courses as assigned by the theory area coordinator. We welcome applicants with broader research interests and teaching experiences that include diverse repertories and methodologies. In addition to instruction, all music faculty members are expected to engage in service to the unit and their profession, to be productive as an artist/scholar, and to promote an inclusive workplace and learning environment. Position will begin Aug 23, 2023. Salary commensurate with qualifications and contingent upon funding availability.
