Thompson First Group is seeking a PLC Controls Technician for a direct hire opportunity for a local manufacturing client in New Castle, DE. Candidates that have experience in installation and troubleshooting Siemens PLC's and have worked in an industrial setting are encouraged to apply. Qualifications: Shift: - Siemens PLC electrical and mechanical installations, maintaining, and troubleshooting knowledge. - Performing other electrical and mechanical installations, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing production equipment. - Lead efforts as programmer of Programmable Logic Control (PLC) systems. - Ability to program and troubleshoot PLC /HMI controls systems for various PLCs, but also a wide range of electrical and control issues. - Creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and confirm program meets specifications. Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises PLC programs. - Writes and maintains documentation of changes to PLC code, programs, and specifications. - Provides technical assistance by responding to inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions with PLC and HMI programs. - Modifies and maintains PLC software programs written by others. - Un...
