Field Engineer

Job description

SUMMARY: Mortenson is currently seeking a Field Engineer that will be responsible for participating in the active management of construction project by problem solving, performing various processes and applying basic construction management or engineering techniques and analyses. RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide pre-construction support: Manage submittal and RFI processes for specific definable features of work (DFW), utilizing PMA and other programs completely to closure. Evaluate and distribute project design and engineering documents Prepare team for site mobilization and research living arrangements Prepare turnover binder templates and assist with pre-mobilization kickoff meetings Arrange short form subcontracts with local entities (power, trailers, housing) Draft subcontracts and purchase agreements: Utilize Best Practice Database for SWIs, quality documents, prep meetings Manage QA/QC as per Project Quality Plan and oversee inventory process Coordinate DFW prep meetings, inspections, and punch list final inspections QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experi...
