Howmet Engines Systems (HES) is seeking a Staff Accountant for our facility in Rochester, NY. The Accountant supports the day-to-day general accounting functions and coordination month end closing process, and daily/weekly monthly financial reporting, in addition to providing back up to the Sr Financial Analyst position as it relates to inventories, standard cost revisions and forecasting. This position is eligible for $1000. sign-on bonus Specific Responsibilities Include: Acct Recs Assist with Bal Sheet Reviews & Audits PAE/GASE Analysis: Journal Entries: Mo End Reporting: Revert/Scrap Scheduling, Tracking and Invoicing: Credit Memo / RMA Processing: Stay on top of AR (Past Due) Weekly / Bi-monthly Payroll Recs: Look for areas of improvement and automation Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: - BA or BS in Business Administration major emphasis in Accounting or Finance. - 2-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment as a Staff Accountant. - Knowledge of US GAAP.
