Position Summary: Provides high quality care to assigned patients in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Maintains collaborative relationships with other nursing staff members, physicians and ancillary staff to provide this care. Assists in providing care to patients of all age groups in the Guthrie Cortland Endoscopy Suite and Operating Room. Cleans and maintains endoscopes and equipment; provides technical assistance to the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopies. Maintains an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical skill through continuing education, in‐services and self‐study activities. Education, License & Cert: High School Graduate/GED required Current BLS preferred, if does not possess it will obtain it within 2 months of employment Experience: Endoscopy experience preferred. Essential Functions: 1. Demonstrates respect, consideration and a non‐judgmental attitude for patients. Maintains patient confidentiality. Prioritizes tasks, so that patient is always main focus. 2.
