Job description

This is a remote position, requires 1 day onsite yearly at Mount Sinai Health System at 150 E 42nd Street, New York, NY In collaboration with the Operations team, you will lead initiatives to optimize, secure, and enhance database infrastructure across both on premises environments and Azure. The primary focus will be on administering and tuning SQL Server and Oracle databases to ensure high performance, availability, and reliability. The DBA will play a key role in proactively identifying, prioritizing, and resolving issues that could impact system performance or business operations. Utilizes an in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and directions, business systems and requirements, conducts independent analyses and reviews of technical and business requirements. Develops innovations with business partnerships, enhancing operations and/or providing a competitive advantage to the organization. Acts as the primary technical resource and consultant, in their area of expertise, to senior client and IT management and staff.
