Requirements: - High School Diploma or equivalent. - Basic understanding of metal repair and fabrication. - Familiarity with reading blueprints and engineering drawings. Preferred. - Ability to read tape measures and perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). - Competent in understanding and following verbal and written instructions. - Able to lift, carry, or move objects weighing over 50 lbs with assistance. - Knowledge of shop safety procedures and practices. - Strong team player with a willingness to collaborate and learn. About the Role: The Welder Mechanic I is an entry-level role focused on the repair and maintenance of tank trailers and containers. This position involves hands-on work in various aspects of trailer repair including welding, electrical systems, plumbing, insulation, painting, and general fabrication. While direct supervision is provided, the role requires a foundational understanding of repair techniques and adherence to safety standards.
