School of Nursing Job Summary: The Academic Educator provides instruction for select courses in the hiring department. Performs other duties as needed. The hourly rate of pay will be determined commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Educational degree requirement, other than high school diploma, varies depending on program. Minimum one year of experience preferred. Must have a current CA RN License and BS in Nursing. Previous teaching experience and two years' work experience as a registered nurse preferred. The ideal candidate would provide a wide variety of academic and whole person skills, strategies, and resources to promote academic excellence. Academic Educators provide individualized support to help students enhance their skills and identify new strategies to support achievement of their academic, personal, professional, and wholeness goal(s). Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations.
