Operating Supervisor Department: Operations: Employment Type: Full Time: Location: Kyger Creek: Compensation: $10,646 - $11,090 / month Description: Assist the Shift Operating Engineer in the supervision and operation of centrally controlled generating units consisting of boilers, turbines, generators, transformers, pumps, condensers and related emissions control (FGD system & AOD system) equipment, auxiliary and accessory equipment; assure the safe and continuous, efficient and economical operation on a shift basis. Expected to align personal goals with the Mission, Vision, and Values of OVEC/IKEC. Key Responsibilities: - Operate a centrally controlled generating unit consisting of boilers, turbines, generators, transformers, pumps, condensers, emissions control equipment, including FGD and AOD systems, and related auxiliary and accessory equipment. - Personally commit to following safe work practices and instruct those under his/her supervision to follow safe work practices. - Develop efficient work practices that lead to improved unit/company reliability and costs. - Perform necessary training and development, as directed, to improve the job performance of employees to ensure ef...
