Description Job Summary/Job Purpose: The Delivery Technician I effectively interacts with patients/clients, their families, caregivers, and members of the healthcare/HME team in providing professional home medical equipment products and services. Provides delivery set-up, initial instruction, and pick-up of HME. Job Duties / Essential Functions: - Deliver, set up and pick up durable medical equipment, oxygen products, and supplies to home care patients and commercial accounts following all company policies and procedures. - Provide patient/client with clear instruction on the proper use of equipment. - Able to assess home safety, accessibility and patient/customer status and needs, communicate with supervisor or Quality team when patient/environment has changed. - Partner with dispatch department to create most efficient delivery routes. - Practice safe driving habits and ensure proper oversight of vehicle and equipment while on a delivery or pick-up. - Follow proper safety precautions, both on the road and within patient/client locations.
