CAD Engineer

Job description

Essential Duties: - Specify and create CAD drawings for custom-fabricated assemblies and manufactured items based on various information sources. - Communicate and validate design requirements with internal and external customers to ensure alignment with design intent. - Develop and apply knowledge of fabrication methods and capabilities to provide buildable, custom solutions. - Manage drawing packages and documents related to customer orders and internal process documentation. - Select and specify system components or product modifications to ensure conformance with design and performance specifications. - Identify and implement process improvements to advance the accuracy and efficiency of CAD department and/or its team members operations. - Perform other tasks as required to support team and project objectives. Base Qualifications and Competencies: - Technical Skills: Proficient knowledge of Autodesk Inventor or similar 3D CAD software required. AutoCAD and blueprint reading experience is strongly preferred.
