Description POSITION SUMMARY: Hobart and William Smith Colleges is dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that honors the diverse needs of our students. The Office of Disability Services, situated within the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), plays a crucial role in ensuring that students with disabilities have equitable access to all HWS programs and activities. The Assistant Director of Disability Services is a key position responsible for facilitating academic accommodations for students in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, Fair Housing Act, and College policies and procedures. Essential Responsibilities: · Review student documentation to determine appropriate and reasonable accommodations for students. · Work directly with students to support them as the navigate, access, and implement their approved academic accommodations. · Evaluate CTL disability documentation guidelines and clearly communicate the guidelines through a multitude of formats. · Manage Accommodate, our software management system and report data regarding all aspects of Disability Services at HWS. · Manage testing ac...
