We’re looking for officials and gym monitors who can help us keep our seasonal sports programs running smoothly, putting the development of players at the forefront of all we do. POSITION DESCRIPTION: Officiate the Y Sports under the principals of Character Development and the guidelines and curriculum produced for the program. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Arrive prior to start of scheduled games and stay late as needed - Ensure that the YMCA Pledge is being said prior to the start of each game - Communicate problems and concerns following the chain of command, shared by the participants to program director in charge of sports - Must be able to relate to all program participants in a courteous, respectful and professional manner - Have confidence needed to enforce YMCA rules utilized to carry out the program - Ability to address and respond to any actions that are not in line with the YMCA mission or philosophy - Must provide the safest possible environment by helping to organize and maintai...
