Description Description: Opening Date: 05/08/2026: Closing Date: 05/22/2026: Job Title: Forest Manager I or II Salary/Wage: TL 126 Annually, $94,162: TL 127 Annually $99,466: Tribal Level: Forest Manager I- TL126 Forest Manger II- TL 127: Location: Siletz, OR: Classification: Full-time Exempt: INTRODUCTION: This position has direct responsibility for overseeing the following: preparation and administration of the Tribal Forest Management Plan, preparation and sale of Tribal timber, preparation of environmental compliance documents, timber sale and permit administration, and project layout and quality control for reforestation, forest development and other silvicultural projects. In addition, this position supports the Tribal Fire program by serving as a designated fire crew member and may serve in the role of as a Crew Supervisor or Single Resource Boss per the Director’s discretion. Fire related duties include participating in wildfire response, fuel reduction projects, prescribed fire ignitions, holding operations, and mop-up activities to ensure full containment and compliance incident command standards.
