Summary: Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of health information management (HIM) that support release of medical information, document imaging, and medical dictation and transcription. This is done in alignment with administrative, ethical, regulatory and medical staff requirements. Effectively manages HIM and contracted staff covering all MHS acute care and ambulatory facilities, Memorial Primary Care, Memorial Manor, Memorial Home Health and Memorial Physician Groups. Responsibilities: Directs the staff and operations related to medical dictation and transcription services. Confirms that medical transcription meets expected quality and timeliness standards. Ensures that the medical dictation system is current with active MHS providers entered into the data base.
