Overview Location: Life Center of Galax, 112 Painter St., Galax, VA 24333 The Life Center of Galax is Virginia's Leading Residential, Outpatient & Detox Rehab Center for Drug Addiction & Alcohol Abuse, specializing in Residential Rehab, Detox, Opiate Dependecy Recovery, Methadone Maintenance, and Outpatient programs to address community needs. We are currently seeking to add a PRN, Residential Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner or PA to support our patients receiving specialized psychiatric care. Autonomous is preferred. About the role: Provide medical evaluations and treatment of patients at facility under the supervisor of the Medical Director and work collaboratively with the medical/clinical staff under the guidelines of state licensure for Nurse Practitioners. Summary: - Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team. - Participate in the formulation of patient Master Treatment Plan - Assess physical and psychiatric health of patient and formulate measures to meet patient needs. - Chart clinical observation (direct or through dictation), evaluations and treatment of patient in required time according to facility guidelines. - C...
