MEDICAL ASSISTANT PSYCHIATRY - FULL TIME

Description: *All agency staff are required to attend all mandatory department/agency meetings and trainings* Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. - Travels between (3) outpatient clinics to meet clinic need and provide direct care in the department of psychiatry. - Escorts patients to exam room and prepares for MD or APRN - Verifies patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, review of medications, screening tools; confirming purpose of the visit and enters into medical record. - Accurately obtains and records vital signs - Maintains effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow in accordance with agency standards - Ensures lab results are reviewed and signed by provider and disseminated as needed. - Will participate as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of client’s treatment or health/mental health care plans. - Maintains Environment of Care (EOC) and assigned checks (e.g., refrigerator temperatures, emergency bags/medications, expired medications, oxygen, eye wash station) - Conducts pre-visit planning by reviewing and updating patient charts prior to app...
