Scheduled Hours 40 Position Summary: Performs Positron Emission (PET) scans, manages the research PET facility, and supervises imaging aspects of PET research projects for the Radiological Sciences Research Division. Also provides essential patient care associates with PET research subjects. Job Description: Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Performs PET scans on subjects enrolled by investigators and collaborators of the division of Radiological Sciences in an organized and timely fashion. - Renders appropriate patient care. - Monitors and performs preventive maintenance on tomography and relevant ancillary equipment to ensure operation in accordance with MIR and manufacturer’s guidelines. - Supervises scheduling of scanner time and coordinates scheduling of cyclotron bombardment for subjects to be imaged. - Purchases and manages supplies used in research imaging procedures, using Washington University Financial Information System in a timely and efficient manner. - Ensures laboratory and work area comply with MIR health and safety policies and procedures with no violations.
