The Medical Assistant (MA) 3 will perform multi-skilled tasks to assist the medical providers. The MA shall assist patients’ healthcare management and clinical procedures in a culturally competent manner utilizing evidence-based standards of quality, safety, and service. The MA provides hands-on care to patients while adhering to regulatory requirements, standards of care, and institutional policies and procedures, under the direct supervision and responsibility of a licensed physician. The physician in charge may delegate the tasks to oversee the MA to a Nurse or Designee in charge of the unit/clinic. The MA shall adhere to ethical and legal standards of professional practice, recognize, respond to emergencies, and demonstrate professionalism.
