UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Staff Physician - Pain for Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital. This opportunity is a full-time (1.0FTE) position located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This Physician will support current pain medicine services lines at UNM and LUNMRH. Chronic pain is one of the most common causes of disability in the state of NM. Historically, the state has had one of the highest rates of drug overdose death in the nation. Would also support the PM&R residency program. This physician would support current pain medicine services lines at UNM and LUNMRH. Summary: Under indirect supervision, provides and manages direct health care for a specified patient population. Minimum Job Requirements of a Staff Pain Physician: Medical doctor with 3 to 5 years of directly related experience which may include residency in a directly related medical specialty. State of New Mexico and Federal DEA Certification; Medical Specialty License or Certification; Board Certified or Board Eligible in specified area of medical specialty.
