The Emergency Coordinator performs a variety of communication and operational duties in support of public safety to the University community. The successful candidate will: 1. Prioritize all emergencies and non-emergency calls received and appropriately disseminate request for routine assistance and emergency services. 2. Monitor all audio and video surveillance equipment, operate the Virginia Criminal Information Network and the National Crime Information Center computer terminal and two way hand-held radios. 3. This position is considered essential personnel which means that the successful candidate will be required to come to work or be called in to work in cases of emergency, inclement weather or other staff shortages on all shifts.
