Description The Department of Physics at Oklahoma State University invites applications for a tenure track assistant professor position in theoretical atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics. The successful candidate should have a proven track record of research in ultracold quantum gases, quantum information science (QIS), and quantum optics and/or quantum devices. We especially encourage applications from candidates who can form collaborations with the department’s AMO and condensed matter physics groups, all of which have significant research emphasis on QIS. The successful candidate is expected to attract extramural research funding, publish scholarly articles, and teach effectively at the graduate and undergraduate levels. OSU is a Carnegie-R1 comprehensive public research university committed to increasing the diversity of its faculty (currently 25% of the Physics Department faculty are from underrepresented groups).
