The Morningstar DBRS U.S. RMBS team is seeking an Assistant Vice President to support the analysis and assignment of credit ratings for U.S. residential mortgage‑backed securities (RMBS). This role offers the opportunity to deepen your structured finance expertise, work closely with senior analysts, and interact with external market participants in a collaborative and analytical environment. The ideal candidate brings strong quantitative skills, excellent attention to detail, and experience working with structured finance or mortgage‑related products. This position is based in New York. Key Responsibilities: Core Analytical Work: Conduct RMBS transaction analysis, including assessment of collateral characteristics, deal structures, credit enhancement levels, and legal frameworks. Identify and focus on key credit issues during the new‑issue rating process. Review and evaluate banker cash‑flow model outputs, providing feedback on structural assumptions.
