Job description

As a Staff Accountant you will be responsible for tracking, monitoring and evaluating day-to-day accounting tasks and activities. Main Goals: Ensure that financial results for local legal entities are accurate. Oversee and be responsible for the preparation of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting activities, all statutory fillings and local tax matters, support the transfer pricing document preparation in cooperation with tax consultant. P&L and Balance sheet are also in accordance with US GAAP. Ensure that all reconciliations (done by shared service centres) are accurate and completed in a timely fashion Detailed knowledge of calculations and filings for Portuguese VAT and payroll tax / social deductions Positive attitude, inclusive working style and effective communication skills are essential The role will require a strong connection with AP and AR Shared Services Centres to ensure smooth operations between the country and the shared service centres Provide assistance to local Management on local projects within the finance/tax area in different Liaise with internal and external auditors and subject matter experts on accounting, reporting and tax issues Key Resp...
