Description The Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology (DLMP) at the University of Washington (UW) is hiring for a tenured faculty position at the Associate to Full Professor level to specialize in HIV/AIDS research and/or other globally relevant human pathogens. The successful candidate will be expected to lead an independently funded biomedical research program in HIV/AIDS and/or pathogen research exploring such topics as pathogenesis, vaccines, co-infections, and persistence. This position will use state of the art transcriptomics/genomics approaches to develop and/implement preclinical nonhuman primate models of infectious disease. This position in the DLMP aligns with unique resources available at the Washington National Primate Research Center (WaNPRC), one of only seven such NIH-supported centers, that was established in 1959 to provide specialized resources and expertise to carry out preclinical and translational research impacting human health.
