Staff Accountant

Job description

The key responsibilities of the Staff Accountant include but not limited to: Duties and Responsibilities - Reconciles bank statements for all entities - Performs journal entries and account reconciliations - Prepares depreciation and prepaid asset schedules - Coordinates and prepares pertinent information for external auditors - Records all receivables, to include cash receipts and vendor refunds, for all entities. Monitor receivables to ensure that payments are current - Prepares trending reports for specific entities - Reviews operating results for all entities - Assists in month-end closing and distribution of monthly financial statements - Serves as liaison to Program Directors, assisting them with cash management and revenue issues - Assists with budget review and analysis - Develops and implements process improvements and document changes in the accounting policy and procedures manual - Performs other duties or projects as assigned Regulatory: - Holds a basic understanding of alcohol/drug abuse and addiction - Complies with all federal, state, and local regulatory agency requirements - Complies with all accrediting agencies Marketing and Outreach: - Participate in community a...
