Summer Intern – Import Category Management Location: Irving, TX: Duration: Summer Internship (8-10 weeks): Department: Sourcing / Procurement: Position Overview: The Summer Intern will support the Import Category Management team in driving strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier engagement, and data-driven decision-making across key product categories. This role provides hands-on exposure to procurement strategy, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Key Responsibilities: - Assist in analyzing spend data, supplier performance, and market trends to support category strategies - Support the development and execution of sourcing initiatives, including RFQs/RFPs and supplier negotiations - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Sales, Finance, Supply Chain) to gather requirements and align on category priorities - Help track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), including cost savings, supplier lead times, and service levels - Conduct competitive and market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and supply risks - Participate in supplier meetings and internal strategy discussion...
