Department: Sterile Processing: Shift/Schedule: Full Time (40 hrs/wk), Evening/night shift 8:00pm-6:30am, weekends and holidays required GENERAL SUMMARY: Works under the supervision of the Manager of Sterile Processing. The Central Sterile Technician's primary job function is to decontaminate, clean, disinfect, rinse, sterilize, and assemble patient care equipment, linens, and instruments according to established policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Education: Licensure: Experience: - High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required - CRCST (Within one year) preferred - Sterile Processing or Surgical Technician experience preferred JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS: The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job.
