Job Description: Objective / Purpose: The Director, Target Validation Sciences will lead a next-generation, automation-enabled assay hub for human disease–relevant target validation. Working closely with the Lab of Tomorrow (Takeda’s lab automation and digitalization initiative), this role will transform how target validation is conducted by integrating advanced 3D disease models, organ-on-a-chip technologies, automation, and AI-enabled data analytics into scalable, decision-driving platforms. This role will contribute to and help shape the scientific direction of target validation across therapeutic areas, modernize workflows through digitalization, and support assay transfer across functions while driving the standardization and centralization of assay platforms, accelerating portfolio progression.
