MINNKOTA POWER COOPERATIVE: Senior Counsel Minnkota Power Cooperative is seeking applicants for the position of Senior Counsel in our Legal Department at our headquarters in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Senior Counsel provides general cooperative legal support for Minnkota Power as well as the member systems. This position also provides and oversees real estate and contract support. The Senior Counsel role will also provide legal assistance to Minnkota employees on their respective areas of responsibility. The pay range for this position begins at $147,714 per year. Appropriate compensation will be determined based on a candidate's skills, education, and any previous relevant experience. Essential Responsibilities: - Provide general cooperative legal support. - Assists the resolutions committee frame resolutions for the Minnkota annual meeting - Ensures that RUS regulations are being followed - Represents Minnkota and Square Butte at administrative hearings and in court as is required - Leads or participates in negotiations for the recovery of damages when necessary - Drafts documents to be filed in legal actions and regulatory matters in a timely manner - Give legal opinions given o...
