Job description

Under the general supervision of the Specialty Practice Manager the Pain Management Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care in conformity with the recognized nursing procedures. Clinical Care: - Accurately documents patient's chief complaint, medical history, and vital signs and completes pertinent forms within the Electronic Medical Record and in accordance with the Best Practice Work Flows and communicates all information to CRNA - Prepares/instructs/positions and drapes the patient - Performs phlebotomy and IV insertion as needed - Assists in procedures such as dressing changes, and injections using sterile techniques. - Provide patients with educational materials in collaboration with the CRNA. Instructs patients about medications, diet, and exercise; discharge instructions, care plan goals and preventative guidelines specific to the diagnosis - Prepares and administers medication as directed by CRNA or as indicated in the patient record - Ensures timely telephone assessments, including triage of appropriate care for patients with accurate documentation and prioritized scheduling - Provides clinical support for all CRNAs - Assists CRNAs with procedures - Prepares...
