Job description

As the Fleet Allocator , you will be responsible for the overall supervision of the daily transport operations. You will be responsible for the efficient and cost-effective allocation of transport related tasks to company drivers, captive sub-contractors, and outside hire in this area. Start Time: 4:30 AM: What you’ll be doing: - Manage daily pickups and deliveries to ensure on-time performance (DIFOT). - Allocate fleet and driver resources to meet service and cost objectives. - Monitor job progress and communicate delivery updates to customers. - Ensure compliance with safety, COR, Fatigue and Dangerous Goods regulations. - Avoid and minimize exposure to rail linehaul cancellation, no-show and storage fees at Terminals with proactive planning. - Report and manage incidents, including Drug & Alcohol testing and TRAC entries. - Conduct thorough shift handovers for seamless operations. - Foster open communication across teams and branches. What you bring to the role: - Minimum 2 years' experience in planning/scheduling for Intermodal fleet (Sydney Metro preferred). - Sound knowledge of OH&S, COR, Dangerous Goods Code, and national transport legislation. - Exceptional skills in planni...
