Registered Nurse (RN) – Outpatient Gastroenterology Center Department: Outpatient GI Center / Endoscopy Floats to Main Hospital as Operationally Needed Position Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Outpatient Gastroenterology Center provides comprehensive, patient-centered care across the full continuum of outpatient endoscopic services. This role is highly dynamic and requires cross-training to support multiple functions, including pre-operative preparation, intra-procedural circulating, technical assistance, scope reprocessing, and post-anesthesia recovery. The RN will also support operations at the main hospital as needed, ensuring continuity of care across settings. Clinical Responsibilities: In this role, the RN delivers safe, high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing GI and endoscopic procedures. Responsibilities include conducting thorough pre-operative assessments, reviewing patient history and medications, providing education, initiating IV access, and preparing patients for procedures.
