Assistant Teaching Professor Faculty Position Department of Art: College of the Arts: Rowan University The College of the Arts at Rowan University is seeking to hire a non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor with an appointment to begin July 1, 2026. The College of the Arts is specifically interested in candidates who are passionate about teaching and mentoring students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition to teaching responsibilities, successful candidates are expected to make meaningful and substantive service contributions to undergraduate and graduate programs and the department. Successful candidates are also expected to participate in professional development to stay current in their content area and evidence-based instructional approaches. The PhD in Creativity at Rowan University is a unique PhD program that accepts dissertation-ready students with an MA or equivalent in any field. The students write a dissertation with a bespoke dissertation committee, hired from both inside and outside Rowan University, frequently in different disciplines so as to enhance the breadth of perspectives in advising the student’s project.
